Your Questions About Tattoo Designs Journey

Donna asks…

Where can I find that tattoo design that was featured in Journey’s new Revelation cd live dvd?

The tattoo design was seen at the begining of the song “After All These Years” on the live dvd featured in Journey‘s new Revalation 2 cd/1 dvd album. Its the backdrop on the stage..you cant miss it! If you arnt sure of it check out the song on www.youtube.com. Just search for “journey after all these years live” and the video will be listed. There are several of them.. I suggest looking at some of the others as well cause of the quality of a few of them. If any one knows of where I can find a picture of this tattoo design or if you know what kind of tattoo this is or anything about it please let me know or if someone can draw it for me, I would greatly apreciate it!

Mary asks…

Is it dorky to get a tattoo for college graduation?

Myself and three friends/coworkers just completed our Bachelor’s degree with each other and I was thinking that getting a tattoo to represent our accomplishment would be a fun idea. I am also having a problem with the design. I wanted to think of something with maybe 2009 or ’09 and 4 stars or something to represent all of us in the journey together.

Do you think getting a tattoo for graduation is silly?

If you like the idea, do you have any design ideas?

Thank you!

Vanessa answers:

I think it’s a great idea! My husband and I both have Buckeye logos and the year we received our degrees. I really like your idea, and I would like to make some recommendations, just some ideas that came to mind. There are four of you that did it together, what you could do, is make the zero in 09 out of rolled diplomas rather than just lines.

Or, if you wanted to do 2009, each number could be a diploma. It would be easy for your artist to manipulate the shape of the diplomas in the picture, so that each diploma was in the shape of a number.

Also, depending on where you got your degrees, whatever their logo is, you could incorporate the stars into the log, with ’09 or 2009 underneath the logo, with your degree title arched above it (or viceversa).

You have a lot of options, just tell the artist what you want, and they’ll be able to make it happen! Congrats and good luck!

Paul asks…

What kind of tattoo can I get to symbolize change in my life?

At first I wanted to get a tattoo that said “**** Happens, Just Flush!” but I don’t want my kids to ask about that in the future.
I’ve been changing homes, the country I live in, my dad died when I was 4 and I keep losing and gaining friends. There’s just a lot of change in my life all the time and I’m always busy. What kind of tattoo could I get to symbolise ‘my journey to stability’? I want the tattoo to be a minimalist design, meaning that I want one colour and a simple design :) .
Thanks for your help.

My top choices right now are a Chameleon because I’ve always adjusted to my environment or an Ouroboros because I screw myself over a lot but I can always recreate myself.
I’m a guys so nothing feminin please!

Vanessa answers:

My dad died when i was 6 and i’ve also lost and gained friends for as long as I can remember. I recently got tattoos on my wrists to symbolise most of the pain i’ve endured during my life. On my left wrist I got “Pain is inevitable” and on my right wrist “Suffering is optional”. I got them facing me because they are personal to me and help me get on with things.
Saw this lovely quote in Poland earlier on in the year, “Rather than dwelling on what is lost, rejoice in what is preserved.”

I think small quotes are always nice as they can be put somewhere hidden and look minimal also.

I know i’m a girl but i’m not exactly very feminine.

Steven asks…

will this be a good idea for patriotic tattoo ???

i though about getting an outline of my country .i was born and raised in poland i lived there for 14 years and i love that country

4 years ago i moved to USA now i live in NY so i want to get an outline of NY as well
for me it was kinda a journey mnot just moving to another country and starting a new life but now im greatfull for every moment of my life and i would trade it for anything
as for the double headed eagle we never had that sumbol
poland always had a white eagle
the double headed eagle is symbol of albania ( i guess)

Vanessa answers:

I think its great to bounce ideas off of other people as long as your opoion is the one that counts the most.
I think outlining your country is nice and conversational but you might want to add something else to it with more jazz, perhaps something thats from poland, or colors, or something that symbolizes who you are as a person, within your countries outline or something.

Michael asks…

ideas for my tattoo please!?

Ok, so its my first time getting a tattoo and i want to design it. Im getting one on my left wrist, a heart with three dots followed by the word life. (as a reminder to stay positive) i want to get one on my right wrist that symoblises my journey. I’ve been through a lot in the last few years and got through it,so its going to be really important to me. Theyre only going to be small so nothing major. Open to suggestions. Thanks :)

Vanessa answers:

A windy path fading into the distance with the word journey. There could be a tear drop and a love heart to represent the tough times you went through! :)
hope this helps!
