Your Questions About Tattoo Designs Butterfly Heart

Betty asks…

butterfly or dolphin? rose over heart or rose with thorns? what tattoos look better?

i know i just asked a tattoo question, and some think its ‘slutty’ but thats your choice. i just want one, MAYBE 2, but either way i want them so i can cover them or hide them later if i had to… like lower back…. or in the front, right above/along underwear line
i either want butterfly with design in the back, or just small butterfly in front, or dolphn in front…. and i have a really awsome drawing that i drew of a rose that kinda goes through a heart… idk its hard to explain, id show you if i could, but idk how….. but it would look good in the back….. idk but what would look better?

and dont say dont get one or think bout it mor because you know theyr permanent or w/e i know… and ive been thinking bout it for awhile now, and i probably wouldnt get it for at least a year or 2. but either way im probably gonna get one
not like i want in on my arms or face, or somewhere i couldnt hide on a wedding day, or special day like that….
DO YOU PEOPLE NOT LISTEN… I KNOW ITS PERMANENT
AND IM 16, WHICH IS WHY I SAID I HAVE A FEW YEARS, AND YEA, IVE ALREADY BEEN THINKING BOUT THIS FOR AWHILE

i didnt ask you to tell me to think bout i asked you to tell me what you think would look better, and if you cant do that, dont say anything

one reason i want a tattoo is cause they are personal. and i will probably end up getting one that i drew, and haven them do it, which makes it even more personal, im my own person, so just dont tell me to think bout it more….

just please tell me what you think would look better

Vanessa answers:

Tattoos are so personal. I’d never get a butterfly or a dolphin, but that’s me. I have a lily and will be getting a celtic knot in a few weeks when I can go to my tattooist (neither of which are everyone’s cup of tea).
The best advice anyone who loves tattoos should give you is this: Find a good, reputable, clean tattoo shop. Talk to the person who will be giving you your tattoo. S/he can draw you a design that incorporates the elements that you want (or simply adapt the design you drew) and give you options. They can then make a template that is sort of a temporary tattoo to show you how it will look where you’ve decided to get it. If you don’t like it you can change it. A reputable tattooist doesn’t want you to be unhappy, and should be willing to work with you on a tattoo (it’s their art!). If they aren’t willing to help, or are condescending or make you uncomfortable, go someplace else.
You’re putting art on your body for life (or until you choose to pay a bunch on money to have it removed) and you should love it!

Lisa asks…

Sharon asks…

I am trying to see around how much it would be to get a tattoo done on the bikini line.?

The design would be a flying butterfly with little heart behind it. It’s between a small and medium size.

Vanessa answers:

I can only estimate but i think around 50$
best thing to do is phone your artist and ask them how much cash you should bring – the cost varies from different shops because some artists charge by the hour others by sise and colour

Steven asks…

What should I do to improve my tattoo design? Color?

I want a tattoo of a feather pen and inkwell on my shoulder blade. The pen will be dripping ink into a sloppy heart shaped puddle and the scripture references Jeremiah 29:11-14 and Psalm 45:11 will be included as well.

I’m just not sure about the design. I want to have fun with the design. I have a bit of a girly side. Plus the tattoo has quite a bit of significance…including dealing with and overcoming severe depression issues. I was even thinking about getting some kind of design on the feather… a butterfly or peacock feather design, but I’m just not sure. Any suggestions?

The idea of adding “omnia vincit amor” (Love conquers all) also occured to me, but I’m really questioning that as well.

I just want some suggestions and tips.

Vanessa answers:

Black and white would be gorgeous but red heart/ink like blood

Mark asks…

I want to get a tattoo of my kids names. I need a unique design idea.?

I don’t want anything big. I want it to be small and elegant. I have a little boy and a little girl. One name as three letters and the other four. I don’t want it to be a heart, butterfly, footprint, or handprint. I want something rare or unique. I have searched the internet over and can’t find anything even remotely close to what I want. Anyone have any suggestions, pictures, or good links?

Vanessa answers:

Let your kids write there names ona piece of paper, and then have the tattoo artist covert it onto a tattoo paper thing, and hell tattoo them onto you .

So youll have your kids name on you, and your kids wrote it!
I think its adorable.
