Im working on a backpiece. I have the layout work done but need a background type design to draw it all together. Im going to separate it into 2 pieces. An upper and lower. My upper has Chinese and Native American work. My lower has a Dreamcatcher with a Kokopelli in the center. Around it, I'm thinking of doing tattoos for my kids. A Winnie the Pooh for my son, A Saxophone for my other Son, and a lil Chicana girl for my daughter. They are for their nicknames. Pooh Bear, Jazz and Shorty. Those names will be above the tats, and under will be their birthdays. If you know of a site that will do designs for free, or if you do them I'd appreciate any help I can get. Thanks so much.
I would suggest checking out some shops. There are actually a few, that will do the draw up for free or low cost provided you're going to come back to them to have the work done. Visit a few local shops and ask to look at the custom stuff they've done rather than the wall art. Find someone whose style you like and show them what you've already got. The two of you can toss around some ideas, and if you're comfortable with it, you can feel comfortable leaving the work to them.

I would appreciate it so much if someone could design this for me: I want the quote "There's a fire in your eyes and I hope you let it burn" and I would like it to have a picture with it. An eye with a fire in it. I want the eye to be blue and I want it to be like a guy's eye not a girls. Design it how you think it would look good and spread the quote around as much as you want. If possible I would like "There's a fire in your eyes" to be over the eye and then "and I hope you let it burn" underneath. But however you think it looks good :) I really appreciate the person who offers to do this for me, if anyone does.

so where do you all look for tattoo designs? just to give you a little background, I'm a girl..and I'm planning to get a small tattoo on my hip just above where hipster jeans rest...if that makes sense. I'm undecided on what I want- maybe a rose or lily design but I also think a heart or something celtic would be cute. I probably just want something that's all black but maybe a really soft yellow or orange/red would be nice too. my skin is reallllllly white and I'm realllllllly skinny...so yeah I'm having trouble finding pics I like. anyone know where I should look?
The below works for ideas, but I recommend you take them as suggestions for your own ideas. Most artists seem reticent on copying the art of others, but inspired by can work. I do recommend that you do something that's more you. It seems more satisfying to me to have something unique to me only. I'm also really pale (but not skinny), and tattoos show up *really* well on us. When I get out of the shower my gf is always amazed at how bright my tattoo looks. Whether you go for B&W or color (like mine, the work thus far on my 360), the art really stands out.

Best tattoo gets the 10 points! Thanks so much! It is actually just a simple heart and double banner (two of them) that I want to put my girls' names into and their birth date. I already have the tattoo pictures I just need the names added to them so I can see what it might be like.
You know who are good at designing tattoos? Tattoo artists. I highly doubt anyone here will know what will work as a tattoo and what won't. Besides the tattoo artists, who probably won't draw your stuff for free. Take your two pictures to a tattoo artist and have them sketch something up. Hearts and banners are super simple, it shouldn't be too challenging for them...
